Farewell Bradley, Lili & Miguel
When you told us you were moving to Australia, we couldn't help but wonder why you (and your brother) wanted to move so far from home! Thankfully, our friends made us see it differently—they said it takes great parenting to raise kids confident enough to chase their dreams anywhere in the world. So we're holding onto that thought.
We don't say it often enough but we want you to know how immensely proud we are of you. Not just for making this incredible leap but all you have achieved so far. You've turned into such decent human being. You are kind, considerate and caring, you are such fun to be around and you bring joy to everyone lucky enough to get close to you.
Now, you are stepping onto a plane to start a brand new chapter in Australia. It takes incredible bravery to pack up your life and chase a dream across the world, and we admire your courage more than words can say. In a way, you are exploring the world for us, and we cannot wait to see it through your eyes.
We feel safer in the knowledge that you will be sharing this experience with Lili, who has become such a big part of our family. As you both start this incredible adventure, promise us you will look after each other—and, of course, look after little Miguel!
Please never forget that no matter how many thousands of miles are between us, we are always right here. Distance means nothing to us. You can call us any time, day or night. If it’s 3:00 AM our time and you need a chat, a laugh, or to know how to fix something on the camper, wake us up. Hearing your voice and being able to help you will bring us nothing but excitement.
Go make wonderful memories, Bradley but PLEASE share your adventure with us. We love you more than the world.
P.S. Should either of you ever feel you want to come home we WILL make it work.
All our love always,
Mum & Dad
